Welcome to The Decantor. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. About the service

The Decantor is a community platform that helps fragrance collectors list, discover, and arrange decant sales. We provide tools for importing fragrance collections, setting prices, and connecting sellers with buyers through search and messaging.

The Decantor is a listing and discovery platform only. We do not process payments, handle shipping, or act as a party in any transaction between users. All sales arrangements are made directly between seller and buyer.

2. Account eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. User responsibilities

When listing decants on the platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate descriptions of the fragrances you are selling.
• Set fair and transparent pricing.
• Comply with all applicable laws regarding the sale and shipment of fragrance products in your jurisdiction.
• Fulfill orders as agreed with the buyer, including shipping in a timely manner.
• Not list counterfeit, adulterated, or misrepresented products.

4. Fragrantica data import

The Decantor allows you to import your fragrance collection from your public Fragrantica profile. By using this feature, you confirm that you have the right to use this data and that the imported information accurately represents your collection. Fragrantica is a third-party service and The Decantor is not affiliated with or endorsed by Fragrantica.

5. User content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to The Decantor, including your collection data, descriptions, and profile information. By posting content, you grant The Decantor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display your content on the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

You may delete your content at any time. Upon deletion, we will remove it from public-facing pages within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform without permission.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive listings.

7. Limitation of liability

The Decantor is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

The Decantor is not responsible for the quality, legality, or safety of any decants listed by users, nor for any disputes between buyers and sellers. Users transact at their own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Decantor and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion and without prior notice.

Upon termination, your listings will be removed and your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

For users in the European Union, these terms are governed by the laws of France, and any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.

For users outside the European Union, these terms are governed by the laws of France, and any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France.
